Ste. Michelle Wine Estates executive appointed to Washington Wine Commission

Chief Operating Officer Dan Werth begins three-year term on industry marketing commission on July 1

WOODINVILLE, Wash. (July 1, 2020) – Ste. Michelle Wine Estates today announced the appointment of Dan Werth, Chief Operating Officer, to serve on the Washington Wine Commission.

Ste. Michelle Wine Estates today announced the appointment of Dan Werth, Chief Operating Officer, to serve on the Washington Wine Commission.

The Wine Commission, a commodity commission under the Washington State Department of Agriculture, represents all grape growers and wineries in the state and conducts marketing, education, and research on behalf of the industry.

Appointments to the Wine Commission are made by the Director of the Department of Agriculture.

“The Washington wine industry has come a long way over the past several decades, but I believe we still have tremendous potential for growth, and the Wine Commission plays an important role in supporting that growth,” said Werth.

“I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Wine Commission, and I look forward to working with our fellow grape growers and winemakers to promote our outstanding wines both here at home and around the world,” added Werth.

Werth was appointed to a position previously held by Kari Leitch, Senior Vice President of Communications & Corporate Affairs for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates.

Werth’s appointment is for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2020.
