Centre Vinicole-Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte Named Wine Growers’ Group of the Year by La Revue du Vin de France

Chouilly, France

The Centre Vinicole-Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte (CV-CNF) has been named “Wine Growers’ Group of the Year” by experts from La Revue du Vin de France (RVF), a leading wine magazine in France. Christophe Juarez, Managing Director of the CV-CNF, accepted the prestigious award at a ceremony in Paris on Jan. 7.

“In giving us this award, it is not only the success of a House that has become a leader in its category in less than 40 years which is celebrated. But it is also the real force of the brand that is truly acknowledged: our cooperative model, one of a kind in Champagne, and the commitment and solidarity shared by 5,000 growers,” said Juarez.

The CV-CNF is essentially a story about people. Henri Macquart, founding father of the Centre Vinicole de la Champagne, and Nicolas Feuillatte, a daring entrepreneur who created the Champagne brand bearing his name. Together, with dedicated cooperative wine growers, they built the CV-CNF in 1976, bringing their skills under one roof. Since then, it has grown to become the youngest of the major Champagne Houses, and the leading growers’ brand. Nicolas Feuillatte has been the #1 in France since 2010 and is currently ranked #3 worldwide.

The success of Nicolas Feuillatte also comes from its roots in the Champagne vineyards. It can be attributed to its 5,000 partner growers and exceptional supply sourced over 2,100 hectares of vineyards across the whole appellation. This infinite palette of crus together with thoroughly selected grape varietals allow Chief Winemaker Guillaume Roffiaen to blend remarkable Champagnes. His wines exemplify the authentic savoir-faire and inimitable house style defined by precision, elegance and finesse.

“Everything is in full working order,” said RVF Editor Denis Saverot. “Investments are operational, a new team is in place – Nicolas Feuillatte is a model in strategy in the co-op world in France. We recognize the tremendous work accomplished by Guillaume Roffiaen. Since his arrival, Nicolas Feuillatte Champagnes have never been so precise, fresh and balanced.”
