WOODINVILLE, Wash. (February 16, 2021) – INTRINSIC Wine Co. is proud to announce its partnership with GLAAD, the leading LGBTQ+ media advocacy organization. We are excited to partner throughout the year on special events, in store promotions and social campaigns together.

“For over 35 years GLAAD has been the leader in their space, shaping how people in the LGBTQ+ community are portrayed in the media, and ensuring that their stories are reflective of the diversity of the community. I’m excited that INTRINSIC Wine Co. is partnering with such a premier organization with a proven history of advocacy.” says James Thomas, Director of Inclusion, Equity and Diversity at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. “Wine is a force for gatherings that people everywhere can relate to, so it only makes sense that wine is synonymous with inclusion.”

The partnership was curated from the deep need to put action behind our core brand values, to Challenge Everything and move culture forward. INTRINSIC Wine Co. will work with GLAAD to empower, support, and bring visibility to the amazing voices within the LGBTQ+ community.

“Like GLAAD, INTRINSIC Wine Co. is a brand working to create positive cultural impact,” said John McCourt, Senior Director at GLAAD. “By joining forces this year, we’re excited to work alongside INTRINSIC to amplify and empower the LGBTQ community within the wine and beverage industry and beyond.”

About INTRINSIC ™ Wine Co. INTRINSIC Wine Co. was created to help bridge the gap between the agricultural setting where wine grapes are grown and the urban setting where wine is enjoyed. The inspiration behind the INTRINSIC label came from urban culture and the similarities between street art and winemaking. Both are reflective of the environment around them and are collaborations between artist and landscape. Winemaker Juan Muñoz-Oca used this insight and married it with the incredible quality of tannins in Washington State grapes to push the traditional boundaries of Cabernet Sauvignon in the same way street art pushes boundaries of urban aesthetics. By extracting more from the grape skins, our winemaker believed he could impart more layers and depth to the wine. After years of experimentation and trial and error involving extreme extended maceration, INTRINSIC was born.
